May they all arrive back safely.

  • Seren standing quietly on an extremely windy nest
  • 14 August

CLYWEDOG - started on time Grin

Dylan brought a bunch of small sticks @ 08:30-iwh.

    Then a FISH!

496 ate quite a bit and flew with the rest @ 11:21.

Seren flew in @ 12:*7 (I can't read that * digit), didn't bring anything, just hung around... driven off by drizzle @ 13:10.

A couple of minutes later 496 dug out a fishtail:

They both flew, Seren returned and got this, it appeared from a very obstructed view that she only left a pink scrap for 496.

  • Brenig froze at about 09:15 this morning, no movement since.

Before that, the Jay popped onto the perch for a minute:

    Clywedog

Dylan kept 496 flying on 'n off the nest while he well-headlessed this fish supper:

After eating for 35 minutes, 496 left this much on the nest, no-one came for it by closing time:

  • Spot the osprey The first time I have seen 496 for days he was eating but now flown Perhaps he was eating he fish SCYLLA reported was left on the nest

  • 15 August

All 3 of our family were on the nest separately during the morning, no fish seen.

    Next, TWO Jays Hugging

    496 flew with this fish @ 15:17:

18:14 Dylan brought a tiny leftover and ate it on the nest, 496 watching but not looking as tho he needed feeding.

Seren was on the nest twice (at least) in the evening.

19:45 Dylan was sorting a clump - at that time a 6-hour clip had just ended and a new one was starting, so I could have missed a fish.

That was the last we saw of anyone.

  • Cracking captures scylla. Jays are so elusive and you got 2!
  • I so agree Korky, cracking captures and a lovely video - thank you both Patily and Scylla
  • 16 August

At startup 496 was eating at the back of the nest with his back to us - then he flew off with the tailend:

He was soon back to receive a headless fish from Seren:

    He flew with it:

At least one is here every day, KORKY Slight smile

    First Jay visit, morsels found:

It appeared that Seren had been being teased by Dylan flying around with fish, she gave up and picked at some scraps at the back of the nest - then seemed to get buzzed - just one frame of osprey wing:

Second Jay visit - we could have had lovely close-ups if only:

Seren was back +/-11:30, left without being served.

    That's only up to 12:30.

  • This'll be interesting (to me)... I've put these rough snaps in a batch resizer and they'll have come out in the wrong order so will I be able to sort them correctly - with no times on them Tired face

Seren was on the nest a lot !!!

    Dang shame:

    Unrecognisable fish:

Dylan on the left without a fish, he scarpered PDQ!

Last sighting of 496 around 17:00:

    No-one seen after that.
