FOULSHAW MOSS, & ALL LAKE DISTRICT NEST OBSERVATIONS MARCH 2021 TO END FEB 2022

All chick snuggled up presumably all fed and full as 35 has not long cleaned her beak and YW is having some fish.  He also offers 35 a piece

The chicks turn round as YW continues to eat and #3 gets a piece from dad

35 takes the fish and dishes out some more to the older chick

and a few bits more to #3

35 finishes off the fish tail as the chicks settle down

Allthe family are on the nest which is swaying quite noticeably in the wind All 3 chicks are at the front of the nest with #3 fast asleep and the other 2 fiddgetting B35 is taking the opportunity to have a good preen whilst YW stands guard

Feed underway:   Older chicks fed as #3 waits.  

Once older chick full and turns away, #3 gets fish

and by the look of #3's crop, it is enjoying a great tuck :-)

The LB's on most nests seem to learn pretty quickly what the "pecking order" is, and as long as the male provides ample fish, keeping out of the way isn't normally a problem
