As the season is almost upon us and this is a useful thread to have, thought I better open it.

From the above link you can find all the previous threads in the opening post.
I always associate the beginning of the Osprey Season with one Osprey, so I would like to make this post in Memory of Beatrice (Green 5B), she always kicked off the Osprey season for us as she was the first Osprey to be on the move. This is a wee 2 minute clip of when Roy Dennis goes to Andalucia to search for her. Sadly the weather was against her when she moved too early in 2016.

Could do with a couple of extra males at Poole, maybe some male Rutland chicks will be in amongst this years translocatees.

Clare Bailey said:It sounds like it would be at the Blyth estuary if it goes ahead. It's certainly a regular place for migrating ospreys, especially southwards.
I saw one there a few years ago. I had seen the report of various sightings on BirdGuides, and as we were staying at Westleton we 'cycled!' to the nature reserve between the coast and the A12. It was my hubby who spotted 'the bird with the fish'! It was a bit fleeting, but great to see the classic post of bullet held in the talons!

Hello,
For those who are interested, I believe Suffolk Wildlife Trust has organised a webinair for this Thursday via Eventbrite to share their plans and presumably gather support via donations especially as the event is free to access. The event starts at 7pm for about an hour and a half.

I posted that triangular osprey somewhere - and I thought I discovered it - maybe I pinched it from you-hoo, dear KATE

it was sent to me, as is the the latest scap, so possibly been the rounds, but always fantastic to view..
Take care, my lovely.
I can't think how it happened, but I just ended up on the LG DU for 30 March 2014 !!! And Odin came home and I did a vid of him "stamping himself on his nest" with EJ in attendance for a while
I've reduced the humbuzz slightly and upped the voices.
BTW - Not a single "Like" to be seen and I kept wanting to Like people's posts, sometimes just to say "hello, I'm here and I read your post" - when did the virus first infect us?
Lovely to see Odin and EJ SCYLLA - Thank You. I "liked" it!
