Summarising the highly successful 2020 season:

21st March 10.36am Mrs G arrives
3rd April 12.08pm Aran arrives
First egg laid 13th April 19:50
Second egg laid 16th April 18:17
Third egg laid 19th April 19.01
Chicks ringed with BTO metal and Blue Darvic colour rings on 24th June
KC2 (M) hatched 20th May 10:52, fledged 9th July 14:48 (50 days)***
KC3(F) hatched 21st May 17:59, fledged 14th July 09:36 (54 days)
KC4 (F) hatched 24th May 12:52, fledged 18th July 18:44 (55 days)
LAST SEEN:
MrsG - 05 September
KC2 - 24 August
KC3 - 09 September
KC4 - 09 September
Aran was last seen on 13 September @ 15:05hr (but not 100% sure that someone didn't see him after that)

I didn't find anyone on the nest besides the Nuthatch.

Some of my lovely Glaslyn trees - will they spring into leaf soon? I can't remember if they're the same all year round:

There is a row with some dead trees near the Glaslyn centre but I cannot work out if your photo is it or not, Scylla. Blue 5F(12), the spare female who hung around the Glaslyn area for years before taking on the nest at Clywedog last year, used to sometimes sit in one of the dead trees in whichever row of trees I have in mind. Maybe someone more familiar with the area will tell us if your pic shows the one I remember.

That was my problem too - I don't think this was the same row of trees as the one I'm familiar with... ?

Glaslyn webcam is down, no new link on their main Website yet, will probably have to wait until someone sorts it.

According to me it went down @ 03:15. Yes, we'll have to wait until Heather comes on duty but I won't be here :( SYAL

I expect you've all seen this but I've only just caught up with it. But in case a few of you haven't seen this................

The eldest chick of the 2020 brood, KC2 has
been spotted in The Gambia! KC2 was observed
by Dembo Sonko (Natoura Voyage Guide) in his
home village forest, Farasutu Community Forest
at 11.45 on 21st November.
In November 2021, a group of Glaslyn volunteers
will travel to Gambia, on a bird watching tour
guided by Iolo Williams and Barry McDonald
from Natoura Voyage Wildlife Travel. Last year,
we sent a list of the Welsh ringed Ospreys to
Barry so he could pass it on to Dembo Sonko,
our guide in The Gambia, in order that he could
keep a look out for our Ospreys.
On 21st November, Dembo, who has 26 years of
experience as a guide on birding tours in The
Gambia, spotted a ringed Osprey perched near
his home village in Farasutu Community Forest.
