  • Good news CLARE.

My OH had a letter yesterday to say that he was clinically vulnerable, and advice on what and what not he is advised to do. A bit late in the day, or what?
We had actually worked it out for ourselves months ago, as we knew he was vulnerable.
He had the first vaccine seven weeks ago. Still waiting for a date for the second. The jury is still out about the timing.
I am glad that so many people have now had a first vaccine, though.
  • Morning all:  Brighter day here and not as hot, but have had more cups of coffee than usual and feeling a little speedy.  I may use that extra energy to dig holes in the garden in preparation for some low-maintenance shrubs to replace former aging troublemakers.  :-)

Lindybird:  Lovely daffs and nice shots of Tatton (and Bonnie on the scent of squirrels).  Wonder if the Park will host the flower show this year.

Heather:  Hurray for a good night's sleep.  Have you been trying to figure out what made the difference?

  • Rosy, it does seem a little late in the day for advice for you both.... oh, well.

Annette, the Flower Show has been cancelled for this year, sadly. They are only going to do the prime ones, such as Chelsea. EDIT -- I just looked it up, & it looks as if it's going ahead in July as usual. We will try to go, if we can!

Clare, that's great news. Something done right. Best wishes to you and Limpy.

  • More flowers to cheer us up: tiny crocus which began opening yesterday in the sunshine. The garden birds are all very excited, and cheeping and chirping more than usual!

  • We had a visit this pm from Dau & Co. Tall S-i-l finished the pruning of our rather large shrub that thought it was a tree. It looks much better. Lots of hugs from Small People. A good thing I had planned a lazy tea as I am so tired without a nanny nap. Too tired for replies.
  • Just a thought

Laugh a lot. It burns a lot of calories. (Jessica Simpson)

  • Good Morning. Lovely bright sunshine here, so looking forward to an enjoyable day.

AQ - How nice to have a family visit, and some help in the garden. Not surprised it left you tired though. Try & rest now to make up for it.

Laughed at your quote: its true that laughter is the best medicine - I read once that it actually shakes up and exercises your organs!!
  • On the subject of unwanted phone calls, I just lay the phone down and walk away leaving them talking to thin air!
