Interesting about your take on the book and film, Pat. I very rarely enjoy a film if I've read the book first- there's room for so much more detail in a book, and a chance to be told what a character is thinking.
Annette, that's a good description of how you're feeling! We now have snow on the ground, but its just a sprinkling, like pretty icing sugar on a cake.

I have been out early watering my tomatoes & leafy greens before OH sets sprinkler on lawn. I also covered tomatoes against sun. If I am not very chatty later it is because we have been “promised” a power cut sometime between 8 am and 5 pm for 45 mins. While they check our meter box for 15 mins. No computer, no a/c (expecting 35 C); at least we have gas stove. Would it be too much to hope the activity will be all over while I am out food shopping? I need to go early before heat strikes.
PS I feel “normal” so far this morning. Fingers crossed it is the beginning of the end of fatigue.
The best cure for insomnia is the realisation that it’s time to get up.
Happiness is waking up, looking at the clock and finding that you still have two hours left to sleep. (Charles M. Schultz)
People who can fall asleep quickly freak me out... I mean, don't they have thoughts?
