Morning/evening all: Off to catch up on today's posts.
dibnlib: I googled skemmie....cheating really.
I hope she logs onto scottish road reports first as it is not looking to clever and it is going to be cold night so tricky road conditions. Lunch sounded good can't wait to escape!!!!
OH was bewildered for a while as kept trying to find out who this ken bloke was..it did go do you(not in same dialect) ken...being don't you know.
Gosh, what a lot to catch up on.. . Got the tennis on, it's exciting at the moment.
There was an inch of snow here overnight, looks pretty but is slippery on the side roads. More is forecast for tonight, but not as much as Scotland and the NE. Hope there is not too much, as I'm taking shopping to my Mother's tomorrow, not too far to go though.Fantastic pics of the very deep snow with you, Wendyb !!
Love the moving sigs, cold and geese, Alan and Tiger . I am thinking of following up Tiger's recommendation of a Dymo for lables, writing them is a pain. Must start the Christmas Letters, I just write mine, short note in card if not a close friend, who get a proper letter, though not very long! I do not mind getting the printed ones from people though, - well , some people have busier lives than I do....
On wood burning stoves, a friend of mine has one and it really puts out the heat ! just gas at my house.
Dymos are brilliant ChrisyB, well worth getting. I love mine.
ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
ChloeB , I see from Amazon that the Dymo will print automatically from MS Office, but I only have MS Works. I find that is ok for what I do so have not bothered buying Office. So will it work ok with my system? ( Vista)
thought I would have to resize this but it worked first time. Me at Loch Garten, taken the same day that Dillon was demolishing " the worlds biggest chew stick" anyway at the mo you don't need a pic to identify me. I am the one with the green stookie!!!!!!!
Apologies to those people who didn't know what a skemmie was in my earlier post! It is a feral pigeon .... Trafalgar Square type :-)
Wendyb - fabulous snow photographs ... thanks for sharing!
Linda - great pics from you too. I like the idea of the seat cut into the hillside ... a lovely memorial. The other one makes me think of summer ... just right for today :-)
SheilaFE - it was me who lived in Berwick ... from 1959 to 1969 ... we lived in Spittal ... across the river!
Joan - avid bird and nature watcher in Northumberland!

I don't use it from any other programmes other than the software that came with my Dymo Chrisy and have built up a database of addresses in there. Yes it will work fine with your system. I used to have Vista before Windows7 and my Dymo is compatible with both.
Think dibnlib & I must be related - we could be !
I'm off to get changed now (will have to record 'Strictly' tonight...) as we are off to take part in a Quiz at the Sports club. Tell you how our team did, tomorrow!
I knew someone had mentioned Berwick, sorry to have got you wrong DjoanS. It is nice to see you too! Do you remember either the greengrocer in Hyde Hill or the Thomas W Rea supermarket in Main Street, Tweedmouth? My father's cousins used to run the latter, one of whom has died and the other lives on the edge of Berwick.
