HAPPY THANKSGIVING, friends in the USA, I hope you have woken up to sunshine and will enjoy family gatherings, turkey, pumpkin pie or whatever you have planned.

Thanks Alan and you are right it does mean a lot to me. If I knew how to do it I would have a countdown clock but afraid I haven't a clue.
Just took this pic of a collared dove on the feeder:
Hello osprey and what a lovely picture of one of your sons. Bet you are kept busy with four boys. The birds will appreciate your efforts. We have no snow here but it is extremely cold and I have filled the trays three times already.
That is a lot of people for Christmas hope you get some help with the food preparation.
Keep warm and safe and have a drop of the whiskey to help.
Alan beautiful pic of the collared dove, such pretty birds.
Wasn't it sad to see the last Harrier take off from the Ark Royale. I was at Wildenrath in the 70s when Harriers were based there, an amazing aircraft.
Brodie countryfare this am and we shared a strawberry and cream scone, delich and so light, but no doubt very heavy on calories.
TIGER truely wonderful Aurora thank you. we have been lucky enough to see the northern Lights on a number of occassions but not quite as spectacular as that.. It is usually Nov that we do see them.
Just to let you know that the bird on Lady's nest at Loch of the Lowes was probably a female sparrowhawk. The nest is so large it made it look to small for a sparrowhawk. Should have recognised it really as I have regular visits from a female.
WENDY came home from work one day to find OH looking very smug (Cheshire Cat had nothing on him) Do you know what "clype" means he said and you should have seen his face drop when I said yes. Well I have never heard you use it. Yes but I still know what it means was my reply. for clype read telltale and someone had used it about a member of staff. not OH I hasten to add.
