Do not worry I been doing this a long long time. There have been people that I thought would never get it but in the end they always have done. Back in 2005 there was someone who almost left forums in frustration because they could not work out how to do a signature. Then by some magic they got it and continued.

That person went on to be assistant in another forum and they described the whole forum experience as being the most significant of their lives.

So never give up because of a little difficulty.

  • Trying again with your animation

Well done. You see how success feels! :) :)

Mind you Dillon might not be too pleased that you got a new dog! :)

  • Hooray! You did it, well done! :)

Yep, see you later when we will try and sort out Photobucket.

PS hope the hosp appt goes well and the ankle is healing nicely :)

Good morning OG! Glad you are having some sunshine. Been meaning to tell you that when I look who is 'on line' and under your name stands D&G, I always have a mental picture of you wearing Dolce & Gabbana ;)

No way, Auntie - I just wear whatever I can buy (cheap as possible) that actually fits - but not necessarily all over at the same time!!  Buying clothes for short fat person is a nightmare - they always assume larger sizes need to be tall too!
D&G here is Dumfries and Galloway - our Region of Scotland - far Southwest.  By the way, where do you look to see who is on line?
(Don't know why this is italic - I have tried "Control i" but it refuses to change!)

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • Alan – not the lights already!  And here’s me complaining that we shall have to put the tree up early because family are coming 18th December!  Must also admit to writing a Christmas list and heading it “Bah, Humbug” and yesterday I was heard to say “I shall be glad when Christmas is over!”

Dibnlib – hope the appointment is useful.

I am sorry, but I shall have to leave if many more animations appear – they really do hurt my eyes – and I know my eye health is good because the optician said so!!

  • Just looked through animated sigs, and realised Choe's is fine, because it is less fast moving - can any of the others be slowed down?

  • Good morning all and what a cold start to the day.  Frost even more severe than yesterday.  Took a while to get the bird baths defrosted this morning and I was absolutely frozen after filling all the trays and feeders.  Late on again as I had to go to Poole as I was running out of bird food again.  They are eating for England now.  I see Alan  mentioned a blackbird in the garden and I saw our first one early this morning.  Don't see many during the summer, if at all, but as soon as the weather gets colder they arrive.  Still have the pair of wagtails visiting who must think Christmas has arrived because when the starlings visit they throw food all over the place so there are lots of meal worms on the ground for them to peck at.  I am certain I saw a wren yesterday but by the time I got the binoculars it had gone but it was too small to be a robin of that I am sure.  Little Billy Whizz appreciating all the food and milk I leave out but still can't get close to him/her.  Took the bin down the drive this morning and he/she was sitting in the sun having a good wash and obviously enjoying the warmth such as it is from the sun.  Still scampered off as I approached but he/she does look healthy.  Better make the most of the weather today as I believe it is going to be wet and windy tomorrow yet again.  No Autumn colours left now as all the leaves are down and I hate the bare look on the trees.  We are lucky in this area though as there are lots of pine trees so we always have something green.

Thought it was going to be so busy in the shops but even the Post Office was quiet, no queue and Wilkinsons where I get the majority of our bird food was very quiet also.  Got a couple of things from Christmas but will be doing the main shop next week when my sister and I do all our Christmas present buying in one day.  Have been doing this for quite a few years and we are very organised (until I lose my list) and usually get finished by lunchtime.  Will be making a Christmas cake this weekend, possibly two this year as my sister had her gall bladder removed and she may be able to eat it again now.  It is from a Woman's Own cookbook that I have had since i was 21, so nearly 47 years of making a cake from this recipe.  OH loves Christmas cake and would gladly eat it all the year round.  Will be at home on Christmas Day but going to my sister for tea on Boxing Day which is my birthday and we always try to see each other on that day.  She works at the maternity hospital in Poole and has to work Christmas Day and part of Boxing Day so that is why we will not be going until evening.

Got a quiet weekend coming up which we will need if we do make 2 Christmas cakes and will be going up in the loft to see what wrapping paper, bows and tags we have.  Tend to buy them every year when we have not really needed them so we are going to have a good sort out and may not even have to buy any.

OH has asked what I would like for my birthday and I think I am probably going to do a falconry day in the New Forest which should be excellent.  For an extra £15 he could come too and take photos of his bird besotted wife with all the birds of prey.

Do any of you watch "Miranda" on BBC2 on a Monday evening at 8.30.  She is an extremely funny and writes the script herself.  We both laughed so much last nights we were crying.  First time I have seen OH really laugh since the loss of his friend and it was good to see.  He has come to terms with it a bit more now and agrees he wouldn't have liked him to suffer.

Well must go and sort some lunch out for myself now.  Have a good day all and take care.
