Some friends are like the wind, some are like mountains. They come in and breeze out of your life, or they are there for a lifetime.

My best friends are like fairy tales, they've been there since once upon a time and will be there until forever after.

A best friend is like a four leaf clover, hard to find, lucky to have.

Evening all:  Got some things done today but found I'm not as handy as I thought in some other areas.  :-(  Very cold (for us) and windy....

ANNETTE: That's interesting about your first winter storm. Here in Indiana, we broke all the records for heat on this day. It reached 80F or 26.6C. Totally strange, because it's been cold. I think it's because AQ sent me the warmth I asked for. THANKS, AQ!

AQ: I am also thinking of you and hoping you can get it all behind you and have a lovely spring/summer!

Thanks DIANE. You can have some more of our heat; tomorrow's forecast is 36 C, hot winds, thunderstorms. I'm hibernating!

Nearly 6 pm, lots of children carrying towels walking (with a parent) in our street. They must be walking back from a swim. We are 1 km from the beach.

Good Morning. Dry again, here. Dog began barking inexplicably whilst it was still early & dark this morning - she may have spied a rat in the garden and been unable to contain her rage.

My OH was talking quite loudly in his sleep last night, which I related to him this morning and caused us both some laughter. He usually sleeps soundly but is now finding that he wakes at intervals without solid blocks of rest, an age thing, I think. He does take a nap after lunch every day if he can.
