  • Bonnie busy smelling things as usual!

  • There's nothing quite like drinking from a good muddy puddle!

  • Retracing our steps, back to the car park.

  • "Sheep may safely graze"   --  We put Bonnie on her lead as we go past them.

There are interesting views of the farmland & the farms on either side of the path.

  • Oh Lindybird:  I can smell the English countryside from here........

Meanwhile, we have our first winter storm of the season except it's more like April - sunny, blustery, heavy showers, repeat.....

  • You're welcome... they're unremarkable, but I thought they'd be interesting.

I did see a tiny bird, when I was looking through some vegetation and saw movement. But it was too obscure to identify, and of course flew away as soon as I took interest in it!!
  • Thank you Diane for starting us off and for the super picture with the quote by Victor Hugo - how fitting in these strange times.

Watched the R.Day tributes from the Cenotaph this morning and although pared back from normal years it was a very good tribute, at least I thought so. Music was the theme with pieces from the different GB countries etc

Lindybird - loved the pics of your walk, through the countryside, lifts the spirit. We are not far away from the countryside and forget what is on the doorstep.

Again a week of the usual routine plus staying in for the lockdown. Let's hope this one will do the trick and we can meet our families at Christmas. Mind you I read a news bulletin that there had been arrests in Manchester with hundreds protesting about the lockdown. Don't these people realise that it might just help to curb the virus.
  • I enjoyed my walk in the countryside with LINDA.

Aussies hold Remembrance Day on The Day, 11 Nov, though this year commemorations will be reduced.

This morn I visited our recently refurbished West Beach Apex Park to see the birds in the grand new upgraded wetlands. I saw 2 seagulls, 2 ducks, 1 crested pigeon & 1 moorhen.  On a cooler day I may venture along the walking trails. Looking across the duck (?) pond, not a bird to be seen at 9.30 am.

A moorhen perched in a clump of reeds trying to grow through mesh.
