Good mornong george g and hope the rain has stopped for you now.  We had rain all day right up to about 7.00 last evening.  It was so dark as well.    Sounds as though you have had an absolute deluge again.

Nice for you to get to stroke a Barn Owl and Peregrine.  Barn owls are so beautiful and it must have been an experience to be that close to a Peregrine Falcon.  I am lucky enough to have a female Sparrowhawk that regularly visits my garden.  Yes she does catch birds but not always.  The sparrows are very clever they just hide themselves in a big tree at the end of the garden which offers good cover for them.  It is usually a starling or wood pigeon that is caught.  Upsetting but they have to eat and this is nature.

Good morning Brehda H glad you had a had a good shopping session.  It is often the way that if you have not gone out to do that, you see things you like instead of having to wander from shop to shop to find things.

Good morning Brenda H  and he must be mad.  Couldn' t believe what i was watching, especially as there is traffic going up and down.  Wonder if the police caught up with him at some point.

Good morning Heather B and such good news that SiL is on his way home.  Can just imagine the excitement for you all. 

Hope it has stopped raining for you now.  It was pretty wet all day here yesterday, didn't stop until about 7.00 last evening.

Good morning Lindybird.  Glad to see OH spoiled you with tea in bed this morning. 

We too still have roses blooming and one of them will carry on to early November.  Fuschias still in flower, I love then such delicate flowers.  We wanted to mow the lawns this weekend but don't think that will happen after all the rain we had yesterday.  Today much better but more rain and high winds on its way.

Tiger:  thanks for reminder about the Austr. osprey site - nice to see that they are now looking after some eggs.  A touching story about Big Hook feeding her mate!!
