I wonder what today will bring? Will they decide to go fishing or head off south? I guess it's wait and see time....again.

Great pic Lynette.
BTW EJ has a white ring with EJ on it, hence her name, EJ.
funnily enough.. EJ's tag is EJ.. original, i know

Alan,
If it is Blue XE, the photo wasn't taken this year, because Roy Dennis posted on 21st April:
Red 8T has changed nests - he's moved a bit closer to the Rothiemurchus Fishery! To nest A10 where the older male blue/white XE has not returned yet from migration.
Tiger definitely not to soon to fire up the "return of the osprey" clock. Now that it would seem that our two youngsters have probably left it will give us a constant reminder of how long to go before the next season. Can't come soon enough for me.

Good evening all and was relieved to log in and find that there have not been any sightings of the youngsters since earlier today. I am beginning now to think that they have left and no doubt Odin has left too. Perhaps he will be watching over them, fanciful thinking I know. Feel a lot happier now knowing they are probably doing what they should be doing at long last. Just a quick viist as I am keeping my eye on the levels of water we have in our drive, was flooded when OH came in from work and he had a dreadful journey home. So much standing water and he can't understand why some people choose to drive like idiots when the weather is so bad. Dark already here but hoping that the rain will ease before I go to bed or there will be another sleepless night.
Have a good evening each and everyone. I am off now to watch football with OH. Tottenham Hotspur are his team and he is shouting loudly at the moment as they have just scored a goal. Pouring with rain in London as well.
Didn't think I'd ever say this but isn't it a treat to see an empty nest. With the news that Odin is still about (what a hero) and the youngsters missing maybe the've set out on their great adventure (I was getting concerned they seemed to have no inclination to migrate) - good luck and favourable weather to them all.
I have had so much enjoyment watching LG this season - Thank you.

Think that's the one, Chloe - I keep meaning to call in and get one for myself.
Have been eating our meal & then watching great prog. about the Mountain Gorillas on BBC2.
That sounds interesting, must try and watch it on catch up tv later.
I never thought I would say that I am pleased that no ospreys have been near the nest all day! I was dreading the day that the nest would be empty, but after the last few days of listening to them screeching for fish, I am delighted that the nest is empty. I really do hope that they have departed on their long journey.
