Hi, it was a day of misery for the two chicks. With EJ gone and it looks like Odin has gone too, there were no deliveries of fish yesterday.
Nature is playing its part. It is time the two juves went fishing for themselves or else start on their migratory journey. Odin has obviously felt it is time to kick start these two into foraging for themselves. If confirmed he is gone by the LG team it will be about the same time as last year.
The weather sounds foul at LG at the moment so hope they are sheltering safely somewhere.
Only time and a new day will tell us what is happening.
Over to the early morning team and thanks to all of you in California, Australia, Finland, and elsewhere for keeping us updated.

Oh dear ... been out this morning ... still two poor chicks on the nest calling forlornly :-( I'm being a wimp too ... can't listen to their cries, so I mute the sound ... can't bear to look all the time, so minimise the window!!

Sheila and Tiger thanks for your reassurances. Common sense should prevail but heart ruling head at the moment.

Wish it would kick in sooner rather than later. This makes me feel like screaming "Please someone pop down to Tesco" But we know its nature. Watched Titch with that last fish on Sat and felt then it may be the last from mum.
The two are mantling now as an intruder flies over, and goes away. Gosh, has my webcam frozen - no sound from them!

Thanks Tiger and Sheila for your reassurances that all will be well. I know human minds and bird minds are not the same.
One flew off, the other called and mantled as the one who had flown returned with a huge bump. I thought it was an intruder at first, but it joined in the defence of the nest! All quiet again, both there.
Good afternoon HeatherB and DjoanS I am also being a wimp today again. Have minimised picture and turned sound down, it is tough to watch but as Tiger and SheilaF say this is natrural behaviour. I pop in to the cam now and again hoping the nest will be empty but I don't think they will go today because of the weather. Going to have to get used to the situation but so difficult.
SheilaFE - you are really getting the hang of posting your pictures ... thanks!
Wrong thread, but Happy Anniversary to Lynette and her husband ... and birthday greeting to him too!!
Thanks to those who are putting all the positive things about catching fish and migration on here :-)
HeatherB I think as we get older we do get more sentimentaland emotional. Like you there are certain things I will not watch, the floods in Pakistan and China really upset me. It is the children I feel so sorry for. Where animals and birds are concerned I get really upset. Over the past few years I have tried to save baby birds to no avail and end up terribly distraught. Happily this year I have not had to deal with any baby birds that have been unwell but can remember a couple of years ago watching a baby blackbird in our garden who obviously had something wrong. OH and I did everything we could to save it but to no avail, it took me days to get over it.
