Hi folks,
Wasn't around for most of the day but found out I hadn't missed much. Just two hungry osps waiting all day for a meal which never came. Thanks to you all for your posts and pics yesterday.
It looks increasingly likely that EJ has begun her migration as she has not been seen since early on Saturday morning according to official sources.
Time is running out for us all for this year, I wonder how many more days before Odin leaves and then the juves will have to go if they are to survive and learn to fish on their way to fresh pastures new....sighhhhhhhhhh
Over to the early morning crew - keep us going. Night, Night.

LOLOL Paul, love it! :)))

So how do people feel about tracking now? Without the knowledge that we gained in previous years this would seem to be a much worse situation.
Where did Nethy, Deshar and Mallachie first catch a fish? I think it was possibly at their first stopovers.
Of course we do not know about Garten but I feel very confident that she is flying around down in Africa and enjoying herself.

It sounds like they've given up on the nest and have gone elsewhere.
Yes Tiger, tracking has been invaluable for that. Especially being able to follow them on GE. We could practically see them fishing :)
Yes tracking does have its benefits!
I was just wondering what thoughts go through a young ospreys mind. Does it think......"Oh no more free fish what can I do?......I know I will fly to Africa and there will be fish there!" You would imagine it might look closer to home first!
They are still calling offstage. Its so sad - someone must tell them to go and fish. Hopefully they will get the message after today and will either go fishing or set off.
