Hi folks,
Wasn't around for most of the day but found out I hadn't missed much. Just two hungry osps waiting all day for a meal which never came. Thanks to you all for your posts and pics yesterday.
It looks increasingly likely that EJ has begun her migration as she has not been seen since early on Saturday morning according to official sources.
Time is running out for us all for this year, I wonder how many more days before Odin leaves and then the juves will have to go if they are to survive and learn to fish on their way to fresh pastures new....sighhhhhhhhhh
Over to the early morning crew - keep us going. Night, Night.

"Right Okay, here's the plan. You distract the fish by telling them a joke or something, and I'll dive in and grab one."
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
DjoanS you are right they have been spoiled terribly but I just wish they would go and have a try at least to catch something. Don't like seeing them like this. They are probably quite hungry now as Saturday was the last time they had a fish. You would think that instinct would set in now and they would be looking to catch something.

Oh Heron - I wish , sigh
Cirrus I so approve of your "- practice, practice, practice -" comment on the main blog. That is so true and misunderstood by so many!

Afternoon All.
Yes, they've had too many of those "Sky fish".
Margo, I never thought I'd hear you say you "wish they would go". I KNOW you mean go and catch a fish. Like you I am worrying about these lovely cared-for young birds. They've had such a good start in their short lives.
Yes, they will have to do something other than shriek soon - or . . . . I don't want to consider the conseqences of them not going fishing.
Heron 77 at least you have raised a smile from me. I can't bear to see them still hoping that EJ or Odin will bring a fish for them. So as Cirrus says - I wish.
I think the Awful Truth will sink in, soon, & they will realise that they have to get on with it themselves.
I have to go out again but back later...

I hope so Lindybird I feel so sorry for them at the moment. It is tough being a young osprey what a lot they have to learn yet.
Afternoon Daisy Ray I am sure that eventually they will come to so to speak and realise they are on their own now as far as food is concerned. Such a tough life for ones so young.
