Maybe tough love begins for the chicks today!
I do not see why it should not start today. An inspector might as "Now why are these two young bairns at home when they should be at fishing school"?
They are never going to learn to fish in the nest!

Off they go again. And one goes off
Morning all and thanks for the earlier reports and pics. So no fish so far today and the possibility that Odin has gone on migration. The 2 juveniles are well prepared for the the next stage of their adventure.
If Odin has indeed left, it will be interesting to see how long EJ stays behind this year.
One flew off again and then the other, ENS at present. 1st juve decides to gothen 2nd juve departs
They're playing hide and seek at the moment, one minute they are on the nest , the next they aren't.
One left alone in the morning sun. Temporarily the shrieking has stopped.
Who is this? It landed on the nest at 10am and the chick flapped its wings and the other flew off.
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
Sandra When I saw that live I thought it was chick #2 However now seeing your capture I think that is an adult osprey but not Odin or EJ. I suggest that may be an intruding aldult. Anyone agree?
One very unhappy GEM on the nest, mantling and shrieking ... and another off stage. Someone chirruping in the background too ... the way Odin does.
Definitely an adult osprey in Sandra's picture .... if it were Odin I don't think the juvenile would have reacted in that way.
