I was thinking that it might be a good time to share our memories of Loch Garten 2010 even though the season is not not quite over yet.
As always there have been so many great moments however the thing which I will always remember is Chick #3 pushing its way to the front at feeding time and in general not been handed out lessons in pecking order.
So what are yours and did you have a favourite chick?

Indeed we won't Tiger. Flag was indeed a one off.
Yes, a product of circumstance. But then aren't we all a product of circumstance? :)
Great Thread!
Because of the 5 hour time difference, I missed a lot of live happenings but one of my favorite moments was way back at the beginning when Odin returned to a less than enthusiastic welcome by EJ. who was mantling over a fish as if to say: This may be OUR nest but this is MY fish!
My least favorite moments were twice getting up in the middle of the night to see the forecasted ringing and tagging which never happened. I must be an ospreyholic, but next year I'll wait for the video.
I confess I will always have a soft spot for the middle chicks.
Was thinking this morning of our enormous enjoyment at seeing how reluctant Odin was to give up 'his' eggs, when he was so enjoying his bit of egg- sitting! EJ had to put out a claw and lean on him, to lever him off sometimes!!

HiI've got so many favourite moments from LG this season that it's difficult to remember them all. To be honest watching these magnificant Ospreys for the first year has been absolutely wonderful. One thing I'll never forget was how the youngest chick would always barge his way to the front of the feeding line, despite being surrounded by two older and bigger siblings. I'd often find myself shouting: "Gaun yersel wee man!"Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
I have some lasting moments from this year, no particular favourite as they are all equal. Just one stands out and that is when I managed to video a fish delivery by EJ and actually post it. Not much I know but it was an achievement on my part as I'm new to coping with that sort of technology. Also when I first managed to post a picture - took me ages to work it out and in the end it was quite easy to do. So posting pics of the goings on and just about everything during the season were great memories.
What happens to them we will never know, that's the only sad part about the season.
