Hi folks,
Its still blowing gale up at LG.
There were two deliveries today. Morning one by EJ and teatime one by Odin. Middle and Titch are still around for feeding so it looks more probable that Eldest has started his migration.
Ir was a very windy day at LG yesterday and is still blowing away.
Over to you on the early morning shift and keep those marvellous witty and amusing commentaries coming. We do appreciate them.
I will say cheerio for now and see you all in the morning.

RSPB Giving Nature a Home
Well, Titch is still there. Have to go and do other things, will catch up later on today.,
EJ and Odin have certainly raised two stay at home teenagers again - but (excuse anthropomorphism) they do actually seem reluctant to let them go! Firstly we have the "stay-at-home" mum, who "should" be gone herself by now but can't resist staying to help provide abundant fish, and then there is the "new man" dad, who loved incubating the eggs, was so proud of his hatchlings, has fed them tirelessly (ok, his fish are smaller, but they still keep coming) and can't stop doing the housework! Maybe they should reduce the feeding, but last year's late departure didn't do EJ any harm - she returned on her usual date looking extremely healthy - and Odin the Magnifcent came back completely recognisable, despite having no rings, so the busy fishing isn't doing him any harm. We can be confident that these two birds know what they are doing, and throw out the rule book!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
The chick on the nest is holding on for dear-life and still holding the fish. It looks as if it is dropping off to sleep as well lol
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
Here is the last capture that I can find of Odin last year. It was on 18th August by Sandra! at 10.12am
Also great capture by Cirrus at 10.09am.

Tiger Signature
They are the type of pictures we have missed capturing this year, because of no 2nd camera.
Brenda H Yes that is right. Very instructive to look back and see how things have changed.
I am wondering if Titch is in some sort of contest at making this the longest last fish ever. Now approaching 4 hours.

But then again we have seen more closeups on the nest this year. Good to have both though.

Brilliant Tiger. I think Titch would love a sleep, but is not going to let go of the fish.
Interesting thought. Nethy and Deshar were already heading South, two years ago today.
Perhaps Titch is one youngster who has heeded his mother's advice and is chewing his food slowly :)
Poor Titch is really being rocked by the wind but is determined to stay on the nest with the fish. I would have thought he would look for some shelter from the wind.
