Hi folks,
Its still blowing gale up at LG.
There were two deliveries today. Morning one by EJ and teatime one by Odin. Middle and Titch are still around for feeding so it looks more probable that Eldest has started his migration.
Ir was a very windy day at LG yesterday and is still blowing away.
Over to you on the early morning shift and keep those marvellous witty and amusing commentaries coming. We do appreciate them.
I will say cheerio for now and see you all in the morning.

Now we are both chomping --
What a lovely scene to see them both happily eating. It can't be easy for the adults to catch the fish this morning.
Morning all and a great sight of both juveniles on the nest with a fish each. Reading back it seems that EJ has been busy fishing this morning. Thanks for all the earlier reports and captures.
Juvenile sighted yesterday. Could it be eldest? Unlikely but you never know.
20/08 22:39 SOMERSET & BRISTOL : Osprey, Chew Valley Lake [S]juvenile flew south over Heron's Green Bay mid-morning (10:40)
Sorry Tiger and Lynette. Brilliant captures of the fish delivery.
The 'chicks stats' have no confirmed date for the migration of #1, is seems from the blogs it could be any time from Saturday 14th. The main blog has referred to the migration only as a probability. I wonder if we are going to have to use an estimate? Perhaps some blogger visiting LG has picked up some of their unofficial comments?

Lovely as it is to know they both have breakfast, this is not encouraging them to catch their own fish is it?

Couldn't agree more, Chloe. It amazes me how similar events are this year to last, with #2 and #3 continuing to rely on their parents whilst eldest appears to be long gone.
Why is chick #3 so slow at eating? It has been at that fish just over 2 hours and 40 minutes. Chick #2 demolished its fish in just over 30 minutes.

I think it was about this time last year, EJ and Odin introduced the practice of not feeding Mallachie and Garten till the evening. That doesn't seem to have happened yet.
Sue C I was just thinking that yesterday. Why don't they just feed them in the evening?
