Good Morning all,
Yesterday had some interesting goings on. Delivery in the morning and a delivery in the early evening which resulted in an eventual takeover by the chick who lost out when EJ delivered round about 5pm This chick then kept eyeing his sibling up and eventually grasped the fish that was left and flew off with it., leaving the first winner of the fish contest to wonder what had happened. It was all very amusing and also a privelege to watch what can go on between siblings in the wild.
The evening ended with the usual ENS
Over to the early morning shift and keep those anecdotes and scintillating commentaries coming for us over here as we love to catch up in the mornings, of what has been going on early morning. BTW what absolutely gorgeous photos of the early morning at LG yesterday. Congrats to those that posted, really atmospheric.
Over to you!!!

Wow ... what a racket ... just came through to see a fish delivery.
EDIT - I don't know who brought it, or who has got it, but they are having trouble in that wind!

Hello one and all. Just popped in to make a cuppa for the visitors - excuse to log on and check up! Many thanks for the update, amusing pieces and photos. Oh, and yes for appearing to accept the name of Quackers for the middle juve - it was done in jest and I was unsure it would be acceptable! Seems there has been little activity again, but by gum the wind sounds ferocious. A bit like it here too. I am lucky enough to have a reasonably wide variety of bird life, being surrounded by farm land, and also being not far from Duxford we are given our own air display on show days, including the Red Arrows. It sort of gives me a shiver when I see a 'flock' of aircraft coming up the valley and imagine what it must have been like during the war. A jet has just done a fly past at LG and I heard a chirrup just before that. Must dash.
And before I go two chicks on the nest and there is a fish delivery from Odin or EJ . Must dash.

What a racket, then in comes Odin or EJ with fish couldn't land cause gem was in the way so circled round again. 2nd Gem landed followed by EJ and chick at front of nest grabbed the fish . I think its Titch, middle without
Front of nest, the winner has the fish. Middle at back
Middle, I think, at back, lost out and is waiting to make his move.
Catching a glimpse of it in the 2nd pic of three, I think it must have been EJ who delivered, it looks quite big.
Fish delivery, with inevatable rolling maul. I can almost hear the late Bill McLaren saying: "Well he's got a five foot wing-span this big lad but he's in danger of giving away a penalty, for not joining from behind the hind most foot. And now here's Odin breaking away! He's like a demented Starling heading for a freshly filled fatball feeder!"

just took these a few mins ago
Definitely an EJ whopper by the looks of her landing with it.
Middle one now shouting for his supper. Very windy and they are having trouble trying to keep on the nest.
