Good Morning all,
Yesterday had some interesting goings on. Delivery in the morning and a delivery in the early evening which resulted in an eventual takeover by the chick who lost out when EJ delivered round about 5pm This chick then kept eyeing his sibling up and eventually grasped the fish that was left and flew off with it., leaving the first winner of the fish contest to wonder what had happened. It was all very amusing and also a privelege to watch what can go on between siblings in the wild.
The evening ended with the usual ENS
Over to the early morning shift and keep those anecdotes and scintillating commentaries coming for us over here as we love to catch up in the mornings, of what has been going on early morning. BTW what absolutely gorgeous photos of the early morning at LG yesterday. Congrats to those that posted, really atmospheric.
Over to you!!!

Its gone quiet, apart from the wind.
Alicat: I upload my photos to a company online (snapfish) firstly as a 'back up' in case a virus or trojan destroys things on my computer but also, secondly, to get prints of my photos which are much cheaper than taking them in to Boots or wherever. Of course, there is P&P to pay. You would need to open an account with them (or similar company) and then upload your Osprey pics to their site. You order your mug from them.
EDIT here's the link Alicat http://www3.snapfish.co.uk/snapfishuk/home/
Going for lunch, back later. Very, very, quiet
A very fleeting visit to the nest from one juve. Still moving around and screeching off camera.
Hi Tiger,Diane it is ok if i use your early morning shote from yesterday to put on a mug or t-shirt
Hi everyone.patriciat. Just done a bit of research (Thanks google). There is a County Fingal. North west of Co. Dublin. I'll admit to being a bit disillusioned but I quite like their imagary. Okay I'll admit it. It's the use of a bird. :-). . Sources are Wikipedia, and the Fingal County Council website at www.fingalcoco.ie.Lynette. It is fantastic to have such a global group watching the Loch Garten Ospreys. Like the garden bird list. I'm tempted to shout "Snap!" LOL. Today so far I've been visted by Blackbird, Starling, Woodpigeon, Collared Dove, Feral Pigeon, Jackdaw, Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Blue Tit, Magpie, Cat (invited to vacate the vicinity in a the time honoured manner of: "Away you and get yer owner tae open a tin!" While the Starlings watched from the overhead phone wire), and just a few minutes ago, the first Robin in weeks. Cue a huge cheer. Robin looks stunning in the fresh plummage :-) Cirrus. Hoopoes, Jays, Red Squirrels, Owls, Bats, Buzzards, and a Mole. That's a great list of wildlife. Many thanks to you for posting it here, and to Caberfeidh for posting on the main blog. :-)
Can't resist using a pictorial root to get back on topic.
Blue Tit in our garden on Japenese Maple...
Somehow made me think of a wonderful theatre

Heron - you are right about 'Fingal County Council' .... but its not actually an Irish County as such! It was set up in 1993 when Dublin County Council was dissolved and three new Local Authorities were set up .... one of which is Fingal! I only know this because my aunt lived in Dublin and was in the Fingal district :-) It is all very confusing ... but then this is Ireland (apologies to the Irish!). Website for anyone remotely interested : http://www.fingal.ie/ Wrong thread I know! Love your blue tit pic!
One GEM screeching continuously off stage .... and as I type he lands shrieking on the nest!
