Hi folk,
It was a mixed day yesterday. Fish delivery I think in the morning but not sure whether there were more during the day. Two juves kept coming and going and Odin visited at least twice during the course of the day - once , eyeing up the fish the youngster had. Did his usual housekeeping and kept everyone amused with his antics.
We know that EJ and Odin were around yesterday, and the two juves are believed to be Titch and Middle but no doubt someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
Over to the night/early morning shift and keep us amused with your lovely commentaries and occasional pics.
I'm off to bed, see everyone in the morning.

The sound of flight activity of a mechanical sort. Either that or those Ospreys are trying to out do Starlings with their impressonations. LOL
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
As the nest is empty, just a few pics from earlier on in the evening of the tussle between the juve who grabbed the fish from EJ and the one who was left out until..................

Dear Paul,
It was when the osprey nest was attacked in the 1950s that I first heard of ospreys. My interest in birds stemmed from the knowledge of their rarity.
My best friend and I have remained hooked on birds since those early days. This April we both [together and with our husbands] observed our first bittern on Hickling Broad. We will NOT forget that exciting event.
Best wishes Daisy Ray
This was just before the juve tussled for the fish his sibling had won off EJ. Confrontation - I'm watching you.
Huh!! That was a real struggle; and also an outsmarting of the sibling through sheer persistence! He deserved to win it as the other one was not eating it - just standing on it!!
Excellent captures, Lynette, BTW
He did indeed Daisy Ray. It was a fierce tussle, had it all on video as I was getting dinner etc. so took pics from that.
There seems to be a lot of RAF activity tonight. Do you think Margo's OH is up at LG instead of Bournemouth to "watch" the Red Arrows prractising? LOL!!
HiThanks for the great pictures Lynette. That certainly looked as if it was a pretty fearsome stuggle. It must've been an absolute delight to see a Bittern, Daisy Ray. :-)

Yes, Paul, it was. It crept out of the reeds; stooped in a typical bittern position; and then stood still for a short while. Then it crept on into some more reeds and out of sight. We were just so amazed; and left speechless for a while. it was one of those never-to-be-forgotten moments : ) : )
