Hi folk,
It was a mixed day yesterday. Fish delivery I think in the morning but not sure whether there were more during the day. Two juves kept coming and going and Odin visited at least twice during the course of the day - once , eyeing up the fish the youngster had. Did his usual housekeeping and kept everyone amused with his antics.
We know that EJ and Odin were around yesterday, and the two juves are believed to be Titch and Middle but no doubt someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
Over to the night/early morning shift and keep us amused with your lovely commentaries and occasional pics.
I'm off to bed, see everyone in the morning.

RSPB Giving Nature a Home
Oh how typical! Just about to shut down and someone - #2? - flies in - and out again. Didn't get a good look though.....did you manage to see it AQ?
Hmmm. OK, well now I really am signing off. Take care all. Let's see who's around today.
Two GEMs on nest cheeping politely.
Actually they are saying "What's happened to room service?" "I don't know, it's getting pretty slack." "Do you think it's time we tried ourselves?" "Nah, fish will turn up eventually - it always does."
Just logged in and found Titch and Middle on the wet nest . Middle is yelling non-stop as usual. He/she is also trying to find a dry uncluttered spot to stand among the load of branches and twigs that Odin brought in. There is barely a spot to put their feet. Middle resorted to standing on EJ's favorite branch on the right. Titch is intermittently calling and scowling at the edge of the nest .
Titch is fluffed up as if he is cold.
Neither appears to appreciate all of Odin's gifts . The nest is a mess!
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
Hi Barbara Jean. That nest looks like a teenager's room. Yet it is Odin that brought all that stuff. What sort of training is he giving them !!!!!!!!! Now we have a duet. Oh, one must have read my mind and is moving a tree trunk.
Off they fly, one after the other.
They both flew off and are calling in the distance
2 screechers back on nest, EJ flies in with fish. What a racket. She can't or won't let go. One GEM grabs, other trying to sneak under to get it. Lots of wing flapping obscuring camera. Brief tug-o-war but first snatcher retains it.. Oooh a fight
Stalemate. Then they start screeching again. It seems the first can't fly off 'cos the other has a talon on the fish. One has the fish now, I think the second GEM. They've separated.
Winner starts feasting. Loser wanders around grumbling about the unfairness of it all.
