Hi everyone.
Thanks for all the great posts, pics, videos etc on yestarday's Daily Update. Seems like it was a momentous day at LG on Monday. Perhaps EJ has set off on another migration to Africa. If so her last appeance on the LG nest in 2010 was something to behold. It was almost as if she was saying: "See you later." to the magnificant Odin, and perhaps even us viewers. She deserves to play to the camera though. She's an absolute star. Can't wait to see her next spring.Rain falling at LG now. Who knows what dramas today will hold.
I'm starting to feel tired, so I'll fly off to roost.
Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Me too everyone, thanks so much, we've had a very entertaining day thanks to you all and Odin of course :o)
It certainly does, Brenda, but that chainsaw is at it again.

Maybe Odin is lurking near the chainsaw to pick up the cast-off branches ... easy pickings and freshly cut!!
EDIT - I must go too ... its been a hugely entertaining afternoon ... thanks everyone ... and of course Odin himself!

My thanks too for the amusing time we have had with all the comments and pics.
I have just phoned the RSPB as I did not receive any acknowledgement when i sent my application in. They have me down possibly for the second week of July at the moment. If I have not heard anything by Christmas I have to contact them again. She told me that one gentleman who had been picked to volunteer had not received his confirmation that he had been accepted and missed his volunteering week so I am pleased I phoned them and now getting excited already. I will be in seventh heaven if this happens.

--Have my fingers crossed for you Margo!
Adding my thanks to All for a highly entertaining couple of hours; at least I had one of those hours!
No doubts Margo. You will be picked. Otherwise the Odin Gang will descend upon them !!
Thanks BrendaH and Lindybird I can hardly contain myself now, will I or won't I. Had quite a long chat with Kate in the volunteering department and they too have been somewhat bemused by Odin's behaviour but all the same found it very amusing. What a show he has put on.
Margobird I am sure you will be accepted for the period reserved for you! You will have a wonderful time. When I was there in April EJ and Odin were incubating and there were one or two heart-stopping moments, but I am sure that having chicks to watch will be even more thrilling. I travelled by train so only had feet and bicycle power to get me about, but being part of the night shift on three occasions I did get out and about by bus in the daytime.

Thanks SheilaFE I am really so excited now as I can't wait to see ospreys live in the lfesh. I will be going by train but I am sure I will enjoy myself so much. After the entertainment Odin has given us today it will be wonderful to see both EJ and Odin and hopefully chicks.
