Hi everyone.
Thanks for all the great posts, pics, videos etc on yestarday's Daily Update. Seems like it was a momentous day at LG on Monday. Perhaps EJ has set off on another migration to Africa. If so her last appeance on the LG nest in 2010 was something to behold. It was almost as if she was saying: "See you later." to the magnificant Odin, and perhaps even us viewers. She deserves to play to the camera though. She's an absolute star. Can't wait to see her next spring.Rain falling at LG now. Who knows what dramas today will hold.
I'm starting to feel tired, so I'll fly off to roost.
Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Ten more minutes pass, a shift in balance on the clump of grass, a quiet cheep, the irritating noise of fly, and with the odd glance over his shoulder to the south.

Its very much The Odin Show this afternoon. I think he is beginning to realise his star status. The most famous male osprey at the most famous osprey nest in the UK. I hope he dosnt get too big headed.
I keep wanting to snap another pic ... but he's not moving to make it any different!!

He's gone ... will he be straight back I wonder!
It certainly is Odin's show today! I think he is missing the family....! And making sure no interlopers try to gain possession at this late stage of the season. Still there after 43 minutes but he has just left. A wonderful period with him.
Oh, he is back again with an enormous piece of wood!! And now rearranging the nest! Not ready to go just yet.
The answer is ... yes ... with a big mossy branch!
... and he proceeds to re-arrange the furniture!
Just watching in the backgroung. Brilliant pictures. Thank you.
I just want to give him a hug (don't think he would appreciate it though ) He seems so alone. No wife, no chicks.
After a brief rearranging of the furniture he stands on the branch lower right, probably still contemplating the south. A ruffle of feathers and a quick floss (by the sound of it). Sitting quietly.
He looks like he has lost his purpose in life at the moment! All he can do is look after his nest ... no-one needs him ... ahhhhhh.
