Hi,
A day full of comings and goings again in some apalling weather although it did clear up for a while. A few minutes ago it was raining again but seems to have stopped.
Juves were on and off the nest shouting for food all through the day, Odin and EJ delivered.
Hope nobody is supersticious, but who knows what today will bring.
Handing over to the night staff - and thanks for your witty commentaries in the wee small hours and early morning, much appreciated by all of us here in England.

This one is even screeching at a bug on the nest. A bug. Seriously.
Okay, the Bug-hater worked himself into a first-class fit, hopping and flapping all over the nest, flying away and coming back. He just mantled furiously and screamed so loud that I thought he'd break the dishes here. Odin landed on the nest with no fish. They stared at one another briefly, and then Odin flew away. (Mist was on the lens, but I think it was Odin.)
So Bug-hater remained on the nest alone, screeching at the top of his lungs for food, and then flew off. I can still hear him, but not any other ospreys. Wind is picking up and I think I hear rain. This is the Bug-hater:
EJ and Bug-hater arrive together on nest. She brought him a nice big fish, which he grabbed frantically and mantled over. EJ was not intimidated and she carefully cleaned her beak on the furniture and then flew off. Bug-hater is eating his fish. I don't hear any other ospreys.
I'm off to bed. Everyone have a nice Friday the 13th!!!
Thanks Diane for your brilliant earlier report and pictures.
After a weeks absence, I see from yesterday's reports all five birds are still around. Thank you to All for some fantastic pictures.
Morning all ... thanks for overnight nest chat ... love Diane's Bug-hater name! One GEM munching happily when I logged on ... followed by a visit from a fishless Odin ... at least I think it was him! GEM mantled and screeched at him ... he kept looking at the GEM's fish as if he wanted to pinch it :-) He thought better of it and flew off ... silence reigns again.
