Hi,
A day full of comings and goings again in some apalling weather although it did clear up for a while. A few minutes ago it was raining again but seems to have stopped.
Juves were on and off the nest shouting for food all through the day, Odin and EJ delivered.
Hope nobody is supersticious, but who knows what today will bring.
Handing over to the night staff - and thanks for your witty commentaries in the wee small hours and early morning, much appreciated by all of us here in England.

Hi everyone.
Thanks for starting the thread Lynette. You've just reminded my it's now Friday 13th. No doubt a solitary Magpie will turn up to say: "Hello". I suspect another successful days fishing for Odin and EJ, with the GEMs demanding food. Don't know about me (I'll admit to having a few superstitions) but I suspect the Ospreys will probably laugh in the face of Friday the 13th. Or in the case of the LG GEMs screech in the face of Friday 13th. LOL
All quiet on the nest. Ospreys roosting in the nearby trees, and rain gently falling.
Paul

Thanks Lynette - and Hi Heron! Still Thursday the 12th here.
4:45 in the UK and it's still dark at LG - the dawn just barely creeping over the hills. Nest is empty.
Just had to restart my computer. In the meantime, daylight cam is on, but still no ospreys.
Hi all; Sorry, but must head for the sack - am really tired. Take care all
A noble bird eats a fish in blessed silence. No screeching. No one else around.
Two birds on nest furiously mantling. A chorus of frantic screeching and screaming, on and off the nest. Silence no longer reigns.
Screaming and screeching continues on and off the nest. I didn't recognize the voice of one of the ospreys. A croaky, low screech. Must be an intruder.
Juve on the nest is multi-tasking. Screeching valiantly at the intruder, while desperately trying to figure out how to pinch the fish. I can't see the intruder.
After a proper skirmish, the multi-tasking juve pinched the fish. He's flown off with it. Brief periods of screeching continue. One bird left on the nest. Others screeching from the vicinity.
Birds flying on and off the nest. Couldn't keep track of them even if I could identify them, which I can't. :-) Lots of wild screeching and clomping around off camera.
