Hi everyone,
Its been a mixed day. Foul weather at times. The morning started off very wet with soggy juves on the nest early morning. There were comings and goings all day with fish being delivered. It brightened up towards the end of the day with some lovely evening sun on the nest. One was taken by Joan and I think the other by Paul(Heron77) but not sure. They are posted towards the end of the days diary. Beautiful captures. It is ENS so over to the night shift. Happy watching, see you in the morning.

Very remiss of me, should have said thanks for the updates and pics - GEM is now on the far right side of the nest.
Our GEM on the nest is still screechng away. Is he the one that lost out when EJ/Odin delivered a fish fairly recently. Do we know which one it is??
Lynette - the one that got the fish earlier flew away with it
Now a delivery from Odin I think!

Its got its fish, now what is it screeching about? :-))
Odin/EJ just delivered a fish to the screeching GEM. ~Snatched it from him/her hard to tell who. Is now mantling as if there is an intruder alert, and screeching like mad.
EJ flying off with GEM screeching and mantling on second one.
The poor fish is still flapping ... I wish that screeching GEM would put it out of its misery!
Thanks Joan for that, thought it was Odin but it was almost off screen the delivery.
The GEM is still aggitated about something - keeps going to get a mouthful and then stops and shrieks away. He must feel threatened. What is up with him - why don't you fly off with it to some tree and eat it in peace.
This is it looking at the fish and then it sets off again.
Wonder what is wrong, he isn't shutting up and eating but seems very aggitated.
