Hi everybody,.
Its been a mixed day at LG. Weather has been awefull at times but our intrepid GEM's have lived up to their names. Not sure how many fish were delivered one way or another but it seems the juves were well fed during the day.
Many, many thanks to the overnight/ early morning folk who update us with amusing running commentaries on what has been happening.
Looking forward to another day watchin - there won't be many more - before too long our LG ospreys will be winging their way south to sunny Africa. I'll leave you with the ENS pic. See you all in the morning. As you may already have heard, it is official that Lady has left on her migration to Africa.

My usual morning view <sigh> - Shadows across an empty nest. This ENS is preparing us for the un-awaited day when our osps depart. Thanks to all for informative & amusing posts & pics yesterday.
Morning all and thanks - yet again - Lynette for starting us off. Oh. Surprise. An empty nest.
Someone is calling but not showing themselves....
Well now. Someone arrived in and went over to what looks like a freshly delivered fish (headless) that was just off camera at the bottom left. No idea where that came from since I've only seen one chick so far. I can hear another osprey off cam... Barbara Jean/AQ: Is this #2 on the nest?
On the other hand, maybe this is Titch. Whoever it is, he/she is more interested in hanging onto the fish than eating it.
Day camera is on. the nest is empty , but I can hear one of them sitting very near al calling for breakfast.
Now there is a loud racket of more than one yelling as if someone just brought a fish. I can't see them I can only hear them.
I think they are in the camera tree.
Now just one is yelling.
Here is Eldest and he is screeching like crazy !! He found half of a left over fish.
He has it under his foot and is checking around to see it is safe to eat it on the nest or if he should fly away with it. It is half of a whopper so it would be easier to eat on the nest. He is still contemplating his options LOL
He has checked in every direction and decided to "chance it " and eat on the nest . He dragged it right up to the camera post to sort of hide it. He is tucking in
So far no competition for the treasure he found

Hi Annette ,
No, It is Eldest . Look at the top of his head. It has the most dark markings . He was right in front of the camera lens so I could clearly see him
Let's add this up.
A few minutes ago one was screeching in the tree sounding as if it got a fish.
Eldest is eating on the nest .
So where is the 3rd Chick ? Fishing ?? And who went fishing? I find it hard to believe that Middle went fishing so that leaves Titch :)
OR did one chick leave?
Hu-m-m-m-m
No matter how you add it up Eldest has a fish to himself with no competitors .
I hear another bird inthe background . Eldest is on guard for his fish
Good afternoon/morning/evening Annette & Barbara Jean. Eldest is not taking any chances - every few beakfuls he looks about for a thief.
Barbara Jean - Perhaps Titch, like most teenagers is still abed, after all it is Sat morn. LOL
