Hi folks, not a lot has happened yesterday.. There was some acitivity in the morning and very little in the afternoon/evening unless I missed anything.
Are they perhaps getting ready for migration. We non't see the GEM's on the nest quite so frequently now, could they be fishing themselves or are EJ and Odin dropping fish into trees as was suggested yesterday, for them to pick up. This is a part of the ospreys life that we don't know much about but what a preveledge to watch them through all these weeks growing up. I'm prattling on just for something to say. I'll hand over tothe night staff and leave you with a poinant reminder of the nest. -- DESSERTED!!

Just as I log on again to catch up, I could hear shouting. Then EJ arrives with whopper followed by one then another chick. One chick tussled the fish from EJ after which she left. The chick who didn't get anything is shouting its head off.
Night vision just come on.
Will catch up with updates and pics in a minute.
Thanks Gary for the video links. It looks like the eldest lost out to the youngest with both fish. Must see if I can work out who has the latest fish.
Thanks for updates and pics especially the one with the evening sun on it, DJoan S.
The chick who lost out has flown off. One with the fish is mantling over it.
Paul, Lynette, Joan, Thanks for the brilliant captures. I was on the phone.
The nights are drawing in - night vision came on about 9.30pm - autumn is on its way.
Talking about favourite moments I can't pin down any one moment, they are all precious and favourite in my eyes.
Osprey just flew over the nest and I think onto the cam post. One who has the fish is calling and watching something close to him. Now he's gone back to eating his fish.
Gary thanks for the clips from Alison. Looking at them it certainly looks like the chick that got Odin's fish also claimed EJ's fish and the one on the nest that lost out - lost out twice. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong as in both cases they looked the same.
As I said above Lynette, It looks like the eldest lost out to the youngest in both cases.
Does anyone have any news of the 06.40am fish that 'arrived' yesterday (Tuesday).
Debbie reported on the main blog, 'Yesterday saw another unexplained fish delivery at 06.40'
I reported on Tuesday morning at 05.45am, that #3 had just left the nest, after unsuccessfully trying to get a bite of a fish from one held by a sibling.
I have recorded the 'first catch' on the Chicks Stats, for #3 on Monday. But what about this Tuesday one, was it #3's second or a siblings first catch? If it was #1 who was eating prior to 05.45, then the mystery fish was probably caught by #2 or #3.
Maybe someone has a recording of this fish?
