The three juveniles are thriving under Mrs G and Aran's continued care, proving once again what formidable parents they are. Long may the season continue to be be hassle-free as it nears the time for migration

I was going to say that I'd have had them down as Chaffinches, Mike - I did check Reed Buntings via google and just thought "oh well, it's very distant and blurry, maybe that's what they are".

I had a phone call asking if I want a vaccination but I'll have to wait for a house-call, as with last autumn's flu jab.
Nothing more to report for the 18th - except that the closed-in weather wasn't temporary, it stayed dismal and wet.
