HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY NEW MOON!

The new moon (the dark moon) is on 20 July.

Everyone have a safe and content week!

  • Evening all: Just popping in to say goodnight. Family arrived and things have only now just got quiet. Well no wonder, they've all fallen into bed and that's where I'm headed. Have a good Tuesdaiy.
  • Good morning !
Yesterday was hopeless - I did some garden work, sweeping and weeding, had lunch and then felt so tired that I ended up going to bed, where I stayed until just now. Something's got to give! This is ridiculous and very very unlike me.
Today, hairdresser, and I can't wait. Going by my diary I last got it chopped on the 30th January....
  • Is that snoring I hear from California?

My visit to city library – few waiting, easy entry, free sanitizer, no need to complete form for contact details. My lookups were successful. I noticed a cleaner wandering around cleaning each place as soon as anyone left. I missed my bus home by a few inches, driver shut door & drove off without looking in mirror. Next bus should have been ¼ hour but it was very late and 2 came together after I had fumed for ½ hour. I noticed the lovely handbag & suitcase shop has closed, so too the health food shop – the only place I can get my favourite brand of camomile. I noticed several other vacant shops. The world is a-changing. A few people in masks, unlike Melbourne where it is now mandatory in public. Victoria’s new cases remain high, more deaths. NSW is at a critical stage. Future illegal border-hoppers to SA face 2 years gaol. The latest three were charged, convicted, fined, bus-ed to border and left to find own way home. . . and work out how to retrieve their vehicle from metro area. LOLOL

  • Heather your post touch a nerve with me - on Saturday I got very snappy with my family on WhatsApp and ended up going to bed at 8pm as I was so upset - mainly with myself. I worried them as I am not normally like that. I of course apologised the next day and both Son and Daughter said they were worried about me. Like you I am on my own and yes it is hard dealing with all this over the last 4 months. I try and be positive but find myself worrying  over lots of things. My Son who had counselling after his Sisters death that they said try not to worry about things you have no control over, which is true but hard to do.

Can't stop as I am back working 3 days a week from home at the moment, so I have to jump in the shower as I start at 8am. So everyone try and get and about if you can - I find that helps and lifts my mood and those seeing family and friends enjoy!

  • Good Morning. Dry here. Hope everyone is feeling better after writing yesterday's comments - it must be so hard for those of you coping alone. Have been enjoying your quotes every day, AQ - most especially the one about shoes the other day, of course!!!

Have an enjoyable family visit, Annette.

We have been given an impossible conundrum, in that our Eldest wants to come and stay for a few days with Amber, who of course we have not seen yet, this year. It's a strange feeling being scared of your own relatives!!! We won't see them yet, but will arrange something in a couple of weeks.

    Everyone, have a good day!!
  • HEATHER I am sure that hair appt will pep you up.
  • Lindy Hope you can look forward to the visit and try not to worry about it.

We had been hoping to visit our favourite walk at Loch an Eilein this week, but I have heard the Aviemore area is heaving with visitors from all around the UK.. The car park at LaE is apparently open for pass holders only but we would have to stop off first to renew ours as it expired during lockdown. I think we will wait a while before we venture there.
  • Hoping that Heather has been energised by having her hair cut today.

I went to get a few errands done in the town, but didn't have the energy to walk both ways, so took the car and parked it, then marched around. I wore a mask when entering shops, which about 50% of people here seem to do. It was good to get out, even if it was in a limited way. One lady recognised me with my mask on, even though we are only slightly acquainted, and it seemed odd to be addressed by name out of the blue.

My OH returned having had a good dry morning, and having played a good round of golf: he seems to have found his form again and it's cheered him up. I put some laundry outside so now the ironing basket's groaning again - argh!
  • Dibnlib, that's a shame about the car park pass.
  • Agree, DIBNLIB -
The haircutting has taken place and yes - it has perked me up a lot! No longer looking like a witch with sticky out bits everywhere!!
