How appropriate to start the new month on the chicks' first ringed day.
Quote DOP FB: "We ringed our two chicks this afternoon and we have TWO BOYS"
Compliments of ALISON:
"KC7 (Bob1) is Tywi (pronounced Toe-wee) and KC6 (Bob2) is Teifi (pronounced Tay-vee)"

Many thanks to everyone for all the pics and posts. The chicks are now cuddled up on the nest for the night. I always feel happier when they do that rather than perching like Mum and Dad, remembering the fate of poor Ceri who seemed to forget that she was perched and not on the nest--she fell, was injured and was probably in shock, too. The next day was the hottest day of the summer. She couldn't or wouldn't eat and probably became dehydrated as well. It was all very sad.
Kind regards, Ann

I can't remember now, but had she had some sort of mishap or unusual event the previous day? What a horrible night that was.
Poor things, absolutely soaked
That is such a sad memory SCYLLA and ANN

13:10 There was an intruder (buzzard(s) according to chat). Idris flew to the nest from Monty's perch, Tywi on the nest side perch, Teifi pancaked on the nest
Idris mantling
Tywi made it back to the safety of the nest and joined his brother, Idris took off to give chase
Two in the sky (top centre of pic)
13:24 Telyn on Monty's perch
Apparently, Telyn had flown after the intruder(s) too but came back to the nest area leaving Idris to sort out
Teifi is still yet to fledge

15:44 Tywi 'attacked' Telyn
Gosh! Tywi just attacked his mother Tely managed to find some fish but it is only the tiniest tail-end
Just after 16:45 Telyn had flown from Monty's perch to behind the cam, Teifi was helicoptering then Telyn decided to make a fly past at the same time, luckily no clashing
