As the season progresses, Laddie (LM12) continues to make occasional visits to the empty webcam nest, defending his area from passing intruders. It is hoped that both he and NC0 have a successful nest in the vicinity of the Loch.

And again @ around 16:45 - they were both on the nest then one went up in the tree to keep watch while its pal kept "working" ;)
IMAGICAT
Kind regards, Ann
Around 08:30 a single Raven spent over 10 minutes on the nest but not as active or destructive as usual. Here's the fly-off, for the sake of variety ;)
23:33 (around 20 minutes after night cam came on) I'm sure I'm hearing two distorted Tawny Owl (begging?) calls close by, definitely similar to those heard on recent videos. Maybe they'll make an appearance on the nest?
23:45 Quiet now
16:11 Distant chipping, still continuing at 16:15
16:19 Laddie on the nest chipping/mantling. I'm sure there was a second Osprey chipping in the distance too.
Unringed intruder close to the nest! (top left)
In a hurry to leave the nest
16:21 He flew off still continuing to call
Another fly-past then back to the nest around 16:31 for the briefest of visits - unless this was the intruder?

17:21 Osprey on the nest,,,Laddie, Just prior to him landing, an Osprey came flying towards the nest and sounded like it landed on the tree above the cam before leaving - making a flight around the pine tree behind the nest
Moved some nesting material
Flapped to the back edge of the nest
Left at 17:24

I wonder if I've also got 2 dog-barks ??? They don't sound very goosey.
I cut out some of the distant chipping but not enough, sorry. You'll just have to skip
Also... what a shame that the sound is out of sync when it's been so good lately
And also... it's murder without any timeline :'(
Thanks Scylla - super! Totally agree with you about having a timeline! 18:04 Distant chipping continuing, Laddie's working hard today!
