HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY NEW MONTH!!!

I hope everyone has a healthy, safe, and happy week plus a wonderful July!!!

And somebody make it stop raining! I've had 5 inches of rain today. No kidding!

  • See I've crossed posts with you Heather. Thanks for everyone's concerns for my dear Sis in Law.
  • The distance we can travel has now been lifted from 5 miles so OH and I are looking forward to a walk at Loch an Eilein in the not too distant future. Luckily litter has never been a problem there. How difficult is it for people to understand that everywhere looks so much nicer when it is litter free. Never ever will I understand some peoples attitude of leaving their rubbish behind. There should at the least be a hefty fine and it should be enforced. My OH thinks that when litter is left in a popular beach anything left above the waterline should just be left. This of course may lead to curious wildlife getting hurt. My parents taught me to "Keep Britain Tidy", surely it should be the responsibility of all adults to pass on the message. Sorry, litter is one of my pet hates.

Saw the other day that Shetland has cancelled Up Helly Aa for 2021. Tourists come from all over the world to see this spectacle so this was a decision not taken lightly
  • Well, situation here may not be as serious as could have been and the publicity seems to have stopped a certain family partying! Whether they were the group involved or whether what has been reported has scared them, but they have been noticeably socialising less - only one other household visiting at one time now, and he hasn't been out for all his takeaways and cartons of beer cans!

LINDA - so sorry about the dog saga - good that Sue found out about the aggression before anyone was injured, but she certainly found out the hard way. I think for anyone's new dog it was very foolhardy of her Son to bring his dog visiting when Lulu was still settling in - she must have found that a very confrontational challenge. But the lack of information when they acquired Lulu was really shocking.

Dull here but rain stopped at lunchtime, so E-E is busy strimming and trimming. J cleaned his room yesterday and was sorting out various things in there today, such as wardrobe contents and paperwork. Expecting another wet one tomorrow.
  • Morning all: A late start here. Not much to report. Hope the UK reopening goes well and that plans for walks, trips, family visits, etc proceed safely. Take care everyone..
