Aila and Louis' first chick hatched on Friday 29 May. Perhaps we can expect number 2 and 3 to hatch on 1 and 4 June.
May brought lots of fish, clods, shag pile, sticks, osprey and owl intruders and fame to Aila and Louis, appearing on the BBC, Channel 4 and Chris Packham's Self Isolating Bird Club Live.

Thanks for the fish report Geemeff.
I see Aila stayed on the perch last night for almost 4 hours.
Louis delivered a large fish with only a little of the head removed at 05.01 this morning. I couldn't see any deliveries before that but I only did a quick scroll back.

Aila's lovely expressive face!
"Aila's lovely expressive face!" So far this year, they have every reason to be very pleased with their efforts. Ian

Morning! Thank goodness it's slightly cooler this morning after rain at dawn, it was still 25.5C at midnight last night!

"I keep looking at Aila and I can't put my finger on it, but somehow she seems more mature this year and more confident"
What a fabulous photo, Mary. Love that sort of scrolling bubble effect you've given her, a cut-out-and-keep! I hope the RSPB comments stay available unlike WT chat which is going to be cleared again this afternoon, seems Commento can handle about a week at most.
I agree with Ian and patily, she does seem more confident this year and with three huge healthy chicks already self-feeding, she and Louis get a big pat on the back.
Geemeff - the one very brilliant thing about this forum is that the posts stay and go back to 2009..... the amount of historical information for all threads that is held within the forum is astonishing really.
You may like when you have a spare hour to check on Aila and Louis getting together right from the beginning in 2017.
HERE IS THE 2017 SEASON
I think you will be shocked and enlightened all at the same time by what happened in 2017 - even us hardened Osprey followers learned so much from watching Louis and Aila's first season.

It's great to have a full-time Arkaig devotee here, GEEMEFF!
I tried to take some red out of the chicks, am not entirely satisfied - but not least because they wouldn't keep still at crucial moments:
