Aila and Louis' first chick hatched on Friday 29 May. Perhaps we can expect number 2 and 3 to hatch on 1 and 4 June.
May brought lots of fish, clods, shag pile, sticks, osprey and owl intruders and fame to Aila and Louis, appearing on the BBC, Channel 4 and Chris Packham's Self Isolating Bird Club Live.

14.59, Aila has been warning calling for an absolute age. She flew off the nest at least once but not in a chasing mode. I haven't checked WT chat to ascertain if LizB can see anything around. Ian

Liz has been out, so no reports. Aila alarm called again at 15.24. No sign of Louis since that fourth fish at 12.26.
Liz reports 28c in the area at 16.46. She's lucky - at 17.46, my thermostat's reading 34.6C, and that's inside with blinds closed and doors & windows open.
Aila's been watchful and on 'n off the nest, up and down to/from the campost.
A tiny footful:
Off again @ 16:53, back with another tiny footful @ 17:06, the last I saw at around 17:55 she was back on the campost.
I haven't seen Louis in the past nearly 5 hours.

I deleted my comment about being too hot to do much, but now that you've raised the subject... *hot face emoji that won't show up cos there's no RSPB equivalent in our system*.

Fish number one at 03.21.46 was interesting, I think he caught it very late last night and din't deliver it to the nest, Aila was fish-calling from 23.29 to 23,31 but nothing appeared. So he cuddled up to it overnight then brought it at dawn - she wasn't very impressed. Even the hungry chick who took a look rejected it! Fish number two at 04.23.41 was much more acceptable, being both whole and fresh.
Update: the real fish number two was even more interesting - Louis sneaked it in during the camera reboot! Cleverly spotted by camera monitor Michelle, who noted Aila swallowing the tail of fish number one before the reboot at 03.56, then feeding the chicks from a small fish after the reboot at 04.02. So a total of seven fish today, all trout.
1) 03.21.46; 2) 04.00 (middle of reboot); 3) 04.23.41; 4) 11.23.10; 5) 12.26.01 ; 6) 18.12.26; 7) 20.13.03
