Aila and Louis' first chick hatched on Friday 29 May. Perhaps we can expect number 2 and 3 to hatch on 1 and 4 June.
May brought lots of fish, clods, shag pile, sticks, osprey and owl intruders and fame to Aila and Louis, appearing on the BBC, Channel 4 and Chris Packham's Self Isolating Bird Club Live.

Pity, I was going to give you the details of my Swiss bank account (I wish). Ian
17.26, I didn't see Louis take any of the last fish and it looked pretty well eaten anyway, so I think this must be a new one. Ian

Thru the night - which was a peaceful one in that there were no intruders detected by me! Aila got some tucked sleep!
And did a lot of preening and several flyabouts and stretches:
03:21 Louis brought (presumably) a leftover:
It was a decent meal but Aila was in no hurry to claim it:
I think the rest has been covered.
A sweet scene:

Good morning everyone, thanks for the catch up and lovely photos.
Fish number one at 03.21.46 was interesting, I think he caught it very late last night and din't deliver it to the nest, Aila was fish-calling from 23.29 to 23,31 but nothing appeared. So he cuddled up to it overnight then brought it at dawn - she wasn't very impressed. Even the hungry chick who took a look rejected it! Fish number two at 04.23.41 was much more acceptable, being both whole and fresh.

Mary, what a stuning moment you captured - she looks like a golden goddess. So beautiful, you've caught it perfectly.
