I was already dubious about taking paracetamol 2 days running - which was silly, because I'd take them several times a day as prescribed if symptoms continued.

The deer were out and back and out again, and corvids were seen a few times:

Ah! I have a crow family that regularly visit my garden. Last spring when the three youngster were not long out of the nest, one of them injudiciously went after a morsel on my lawn. However, it was still learning to fly and build up its leg strength for the 'jump' up to be able to get enough lift under its wings to take off. NO matter how hard it tried it couldn't take off. In the end it learned to climb my pyracanthas shrub/tree to get it near the top of the stone wall at the bottom of my garden. From there it could hop onto the wall. Jumping off the wall was no problem of course and the wind under its wings just lifted it up and away. Today they still visit my lawn after the soft fruit I put out for the blackbirds and starlings and , of course, have no problem with that little jump that allows the air under their wings to lift them up in flight
