*It is with much regret to report that Lassie (LF15) failed to return*
‘An Empty Nest’ blog >>> scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk/2020/04/an-empty-nest/
For reasons known only to them, Laddie (LM12) and this season's new female, NC0, have made the decision not to use the webcam nest. We can only hope that they are safe and successfully incubating eggs somewhere in the immediate area of the Loch and that, as this month progresses, they will grace us occasionally with their presence on camera. In the meantime, we will continue to enjoy, and report on, the sights and sounds of this beautiful location.

13:25 Lots of chipping, nothing seen
13:27 Still continuing
13:29 Quiet now
Sandra P said:Just after 7:00, dear Laddie flew onto the nest
I've just been catching up with LOTL and came across him
Strangely, no little birds have caught my eye over the past couple of days :(

Aww, thanks Scylla!
14:06 Looks like Laddie's back on the nest now - front head markings look very dark though so is it him? With a headless fish and he's chipping/mantling

Thank you scylla for the video. Sandra, thank you for the captures. That head is very dark, I'm not sure I have ever seen his head look as dark as that, could be just the lighting I suppose.

Hi Starling, I've checked back so many times. There was a some pixelation on the close ups but even his 'chips' sounded different. I'm not entirely convinced it was Laddie but as you say, it could have been the light confusing matters! I hope your techy problems are able to be sorted for you.
Oh that's great news, so pleased to hear that, Starling!
10:45 Was this Laddie on the nest? Flew round from behind the trees before landing on the nest, a couple of chips but was very calm, just surveying the area
More so Laddie than yesterday's 'visitor' IMO
