A spot of media attention may concentrate the minds of those who are bluffing or cutting corners.

Amended Lynn Brenig A plea from Darren Moore, the person who keeps an eye on the nest and as an interest in it. I have his permission to quote him - from a private FB page. KC5 is this year's sole chick at Llyn Brenig, who was named Dwynwen.
Darren is aware that osprey have been seen nearby, but won't accept that any is KC5 until there is a positive ID. A lot of it is speculation, no photos.
Where’s KC5?
KC5 has now been missing for over a week,
The chicks from the Brenig nest have left on migration in the previous two seasons on these dates,
2018 Blue Z9 the 3rd week in September not sure of the exact date
2019 Blue KA5 7th September
Blue 24 leaves around 26th, 27th August any day now,
There’s no way that KC5 has left on migration, at more established nests in Wales the chicks are still at their nests,
This nest had been disturbed and now the chick is missing,
Can I urge as many people as possible to go to Brenig and look for KC5 when the weather picks up
Oh NO! that is tragic Is there any way her dad could be feeding her elsewhere? Ems suggested that that may be what was happening with Tywi at Dyfi when he was missing for 3 days
550 on the nest with a whoppr of a fish brought by Dylan However, 550 is expendinga lot of energy on shouting instead of on eating

LLyn Brenig: I just hope that someone rallies to the call and goes in search of her today, and we get better news.
