Limpy, I know how much you love Kestrels and I don't know if you've already seen this. Posted on the 'News from other nests' thread from Carnyx Wild this morning. I thought you may be interested. Cam is not live as yet

Many thanks Sandra not so much love more like adore them I'm very lucky I have a lot around where I live
In the 2h20m up to 08:50 Idris took several turns on the egg - here, at the end of that clip, he was taking over and Telyn was having a bit of a preen before deciding what to do next:
A curiosity, not a threat, according to their reaction :)
Up to 10:30
Idris tried to get up too quickly:
Telyn brought a bunch of straw:
Up to 11:11
I love his reactions to Telyn's arrival:
A good mating:
Telyn flew off alarm calling, accompanied by the first Cuckoo I've heard this season - not that I've ever heard the cam much. She was only gone a minute.
Yay ... the Cuckoo!

.
Continuous 4h30m up to 15:45 (but with dropouts between the last session and the start of this one)
Ten minutes before the end there was another unseen intruder incident - this time Telyn didn't fly but defended on the nest, and it appeared from a shadow that someone stood on the right fence out of sight:
Arrival of the shadow:
At the end of that download session the shadow was still there, Telyn just watching - so was it a cheeky landed intruder or Idris defending?
Better start a new post.

1hr-ish up to 17:00, with dropouts preceding :(
The first fish I've seen today, this was a bit after 16:00:
Telyn flew with it, didn't bring any back (unsurprisingly, it wasn't a biggie). Another "I wish you wouldn't creep down on me like that!":
The end of a failed mating, never mind :)

2h15m up to 19:15
Cam switched to wide view and the sitter got up - I think the shadow is the cam:
Dang corvid:
Nice fish for Telyn :)
That's him waiting for her to take it:
She took it up to the high perch but only ate for half an hour, took it back to Idris - coincidentally? she had taken flight as a train passed:
Idris took the fish up to the perch and while he was there there was an intrusion, betrayed by his flapping only, accompanied by squealing - skydancing ???
Not quite the Monty shape but almost ;) xxx
That's the end of the completed downloads, one in progress.
