Well, hello all, Wasn't able to be around at all yesterday as tied up with final day of Kids Summer Club and Concert. Fab week, but can now get back to serious osprey watching.
Seems it was a varied day with deliveries of fish and comings and goings of youngsters on the nest. Some fantastic shots by lots of you and have saved some for my portfolio. At present EJ is still on the nest as she was when I logged on about 11.30pm yesterday. Over to the night shift, happy viewing, see you in the morning.

Just logged on to find one juve with whale, then a second arrived, then a third. Second one is trying to pinch the whale, there is a lot of communication going on behind the scenes. Now second one is not so sure. Not quite sure whether 3rd youngster flew off or is in the wings. Now second one has gone also. Left with one on the nest again. with whale.
My lucky pic shows that it was Middle chick all along that had the second whale and it was Third juve without
!!

So it wasn't Youngest on the left !! Sandy

One left on the nest, mouching around, and now he/she is gone. Not quite sure which one it was though
Good capture Cirrus, always get confused now. No-one left on the nest except a part eaten whale.
Yes, Lynette - I don't understand why the juve who didn't get a fish (Third one) didn't wait for left overs. Unless he had the left overr from First's fish but I didn't see that. There's a good portion of the whale left isn't there?
And no sight of Odin with a fish this evening. Or did I miss that? Anyway, off to bed for me now leaving EN and deepening night at LG. Goodnight everyone.
Well, Well, EJ flew onto the nest , looked at the whale, flew off with it and then flew back in and is now eating.
EJ came back with the whale and is eating it.
Hi all, took a trip to Spey Bay today, unfortunately we saw no ospreys (apart from the sculpture!) or dolphins.
Took some pics if anyone would like to see.
