Tweed Valley.
2 Ospreys on the nest, looks like one has a blue ring. I've not seen any recent update from them, has anyone any idea who we have this year?

Charlo Montana (Explore.org) The local Great horned owl is well known for divebombing the resident ospreys Charlotte and Charlie (due back any day) from the nest perch while roosting, however, this year Mother Goose has moved in and laid 3 eggs to date. The following happened during the latter hours of Saturday night 11th : www.youtube.com/watch The owl (Hootie) returned a couple of hours later to 'view' the eggs.

Someone mentioned this in a comment on one of my videos on YouTube - I replied that geese who lay on raptor nests usually get turfed off but that I hoped she could raise her family in peace - and about half an hour later a video was uploaded showing the GHO attack. Let's hope she finds a more suitable site.

Two osprey on the perch at Tweed Valley at the moment. They have their backs to the camera so impossible to see rings or otherwise. Ian
