I used to follow a while back Starling, always thought of Iris a bit like EJ, never an easy life, lots of ups and downs.   So its great to hear that she is back once again. 

I also liked Dunrovin as well, but now there are so many nests to follow, have got to narrow it down to the UK nests now.   

Yes I think quite a few did back then. I don't follow Dunrovin anymore, but I have soft spot for Iris I believe she is about 24 or 25 now. Last season was a heartbreaking year, so I really would like things to go well this time, but it's not looking good.

I have just been reading back over SS's life history Since his original partner died in 2014 he seems to have a lot of tragedy concerning some of his chicks The single chick of 2015 disappeared; ditto 2016; 2017 no eggs; 2018 Tweedledum and Tweedledee didn't make it out of the country and last year poor Luna had to be put to sleep Keeping everything crossed that SS and Mrs O fledge 3 chicks that all safely leave on migration
