As this could to be a monumental year, with the possibility of the first breeding Ospreys in Poole for a very long time, and the chance of more relocated birds returning I thought we might as well start off a new thread.

You obviously missed the "winkie" in my post, Tony. No hard feelings whatsoever :)))

Good Morning All
Another crisp looking morning at Poole Harbour nest...
Looks like a Blackie on the nest and deer in the background..... Lovely to see - what would be lovelier though would be two Ospreys

At about 05:30 the deer congregate in the "field" (the white one is there), then out to the path behind the fence, then thru the fence to the "gorse" area:
A visit from a little Coaltit I think!

I hope I don't scroll too fast for it when checking thru, I don't think I've ever had one of those :)
Unknown said:The white stripe looks all wrong to be a Tit.. I think its more likely to be a male Stonechat. Living just down the road I know the area pretty well, and they are a common species

Richard I only got a glimpse of it then it was gone. I have now scrolled back and agree it is not a Coaltit, but not sure what it is.
I did a video of it, but YouTube is not letting me upload it. So your observations are probably correct.
EDIT: Video eventually appeared.
