2019 season summary: Laddie (LM12) arrived back from migration on Friday 15th March; Lassie (LM15) on Saturday 23rd March. Lassie laid 3 eggs on 4th, 7th and 10th April, hatching 11th, 12th and 16th May. Sadly, on 26th May the third chick died. The remaining two chicks were ringed on 26th June as follows: #1 Blue PT4 (M)* #2 Blue PT5 (M)*. They successfully fledged and subsequently set off for their first migration on 14th/15th August. Laddie left around the same time as the youngsters and it is thought that Lassie had already started her journey south approximately 2 weeks prior.

Both Ospreys (unringed) have been a breeding pair on this nest since 2015, after the iconic 'Lady' failed to return.

You're welcome, Scylla and thank you! :)
Oh it looks so calm and peaceful at Lowes right now, like a painting really, with a nice clear cam.

Here's a little video of the cam zoom presets being tested yesterday, preceded by the only birdie I noticed.
The picture takes a very little while to "resolve" each new zoom and is excellent :)

Good Morning All
All looks good at Lowes this morning, always a delight to listen to with all the bird noises, geese honking etc.....
I notice that the You Tube Stream goes back 12 hours now, which is going to be very handy when checking what has happened when you cannot watch 24/7....
I cannot remember it going back this far before, as now you can go back to daycam yesterday.

It started last season, Mary, but after you'd "left", probably. It is very useful but I find it hard to fine tune it to a specific point - 12 hours means you've got a nano-millimeter covering several minutes. However, I've noticed that some others are far more accomplished at it ;)
Apparently the trick is to pause the stream then use scroll-back, I've heard it allows you to be a bit more precise. Ian
After much eye strain and googling, I plonked for SISKIN. (The ones we first saw on the LG feeder were more greenish than I've since been led to believe Siskins are.)
At the end there's a very yellow flitter arcs over the back of the nest and away.
