Wow, Sheila, more information about 4K--thanks and hurrah! Maybe you could persuade Rutland to tell us if 4K has been breeding this year and for how many years before that? We do not need to know where his nest is/was nor who his partner(s) is/were, but it would be great to know that some of those genes which Glesni shared with her brother are being passed on, and especially interesting if we are ever lucky enough to hear if any more of Glesni's and Monty's chicks (in addition to Clarach) eventually have a nest, partner and chicks.
Edit: Fingers crossed about maybe getting any information about 30(05) from them, too.
Kind regards, Ann

"Oh no !!!", I exclaimed internally, "please just give us a reliable cam, even standard definition would be acceptable"... then I twigged, what a relief you were referring to a precious Osprey

4K(13) still in Northern France
Thanks, Alan. Can't remember if he did that on previous migrations south or not.

They refer to 4K as their 'remaining satellite tagged osprey'. That could mean that 30(05)'s tag has failed or that she is gone.
Yellow 30(05)f returned in March this year. She was seen at Gwash River Ospreys - 26 March 2020
Her tag failed either during or on her return spring 2019.
There is another tagged RW osprey - Blue S1(15) m, hatched at MB. He was fitted with a sat tag in 2018, as an adult at Rutland (area). He over-winters in the Bijagos Islands of mainland Guinea Bissau.
His brother Blue S2(15) m has spent his last couple of years in the Netherlands, and he had three chicks this year, which were not ringed.
