It is this year, Patily. Last August (as mentioned) refers to a sighting of his first return to the UK
For Alan and others, a link to a public official source about the 3 nests in the Biesbosch, one of them being S2's nest. One of the things that the warden says is that it is a spontaneous nest, meaning the birds built it themselves (despite artificial nests available in the area). The female is a bird born in Germany.

2016: first time in history an Osprey nested in the NL. 2018: 2 active nests! 2019 a storm interferes. 2020: a third active nest in a tree!
